Founder
Paul Dathe founded Evōk Polymers with a passion for helping people manufacture plastic parts at the highest quality and lowest possible price. With over 25 years of experience in engineering, product design, and injection molding problem-solving, Paul brings unmatched expertise to every project. He holds four U.S. utility patents and is a Six Sigma black belt. Prior to founding Evok, Paul led new product development for Caliber Products, where he launched 13 new products, grew sales 540%, and expanded the customer base from 25 to 144 with 100% retention. His background includes senior engineering roles at Entegris, where he managed a $40 million product line, and positions at Rollerblade, General Mills, and Boston Scientific. Paul earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Design from Bemidji State University with emphasis in rapid prototyping and 3D computer modeling. He is a member of Allied Executives Business Leadership Peer group and the Institute of Packaging Professionals.
Industrial Designer
Jason is a seasoned industrial designer with a passion for creating innovative and functional products. His design approach is deeply influenced by his innate empathy and keen observation of human behavior, nurtured within his multi-generational household where he lives with his wife, two sons, and mother. This unique perspective allows him to design products that truly meet user needs and enhance daily life. Jason excels at translating complex design challenges into elegant, manufacturable solutions. His expertise spans from concept development through prototype refinement, ensuring every design detail serves both form and function. In his leisure time, Jason enjoys indulging his passions for cooking and gaming, activities that fuel his creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Sr. Industrial Designer
Shawn has been a vital creative force on some of the most advanced seating and product design projects of the last two decades. His ever-curious nature and exceptional technical skills make him particularly adept at graphically and physically communicating evolving design concepts. Shawn builds complex mechanical and visual prototypes in a variety of materials, creating photorealistic renderings using Otoy OctaneRender® and developing layouts, diagrams, and logos with Adobe Creative Cloud. His instrumental role in finding mechanical molded part solutions that can be prototyped and confirmed prior to tooling has significantly reduced risk in large-scale projects. Shawn's involvement in pre-molding design reviews has proven invaluable to project success. He holds several patents and has conducted research on diverse projects ranging from consumer lawn mower products to biotech and medical facilities. Outside of work, Shawn practices photography and enjoys the vibrant Twin Cities live music scene.
