Before founding Evok, he led new product development at Caliber Products, launching 13 new products while growing sales 540% and expanding the customer base from 25 to 144 with 100% retention. As senior mechanical engineer at Entegris, he managed a $40 million product line of ultra-clean liquid delivery systems for semiconductor applications. Paul's career began at Rollerblade as a design and prototype engineer, followed by senior roles at General Mills and Boston Scientific. He holds four U.S. utility patents, is a Six Sigma black belt, and earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Design from Bemidji State University. Shawn brings boundless curiosity and exceptional technical skill to complex design challenges, having been a vital creative force on some of the most advanced seating and product projects of the last two decades. His unique talent lies in graphically and physically communicating evolving design concepts through complex mechanical and visual prototypes built in a variety of materials. Shawn creates photorealistic renderings using Otoy OctaneRender® and develops precise layouts, diagrams, and logos with Adobe Creative Cloud, providing clients with crystal-clear visualization of their products before production. His expertise in finding mechanical molded part solutions that can be prototyped and confirmed prior to tooling has been instrumental in reducing risk on numerous large-scale projects. Shawn's involvement in pre-molding design reviews ensures potential issues are identified and resolved early, saving time and money while improving final product quality. He holds several patents and has conducted extensive research across diverse industries from consumer lawn mower products to biotech and medical facilities. Outside work, Shawn practices photography and frequently enjoys the vibrant Twin Cities live music scene, bringing his artistic eye and appreciation for craftsmanship to everything he creates.
