Shawn Monitor has been a vital creative force on some of the most advanced seating and mechanical design projects of the last two decades. His exceptional ability to graphically and physically communicate evolving design concepts sets him apart in the field. Shawn excels at building complex mechanical and visual prototypes in a variety of materials, bringing abstract concepts to tangible reality. He creates photorealistic renderings using Otoy OctaneRender® and develops professional layouts, diagrams, and branding elements with Adobe Creative Cloud. Shawn's expertise in finding mechanical molded part solutions that can be prototyped and confirmed before tooling has been instrumental in reducing risk on large-scale projects. His involvement in pre-molding design reviews has saved clients significant time and money. Holding several patents, Shawn has conducted research on diverse projects ranging from consumer lawn mower products to biotech and medical facilities. Outside of work, he practices photography and enjoys the vibrant Twin Cities live music scene.
